Please be advised the District of Choice program (per Senate Bill 1432) is due to end as of June 30, 2017, unless the California State lawmakers take action on extending or renewing the District of Choice program.

In the event that the District of Choice program is eliminated RUSD is working with school districts to honor the 2017-2018 DOC applications as an inter-district transfer. If so we will inform parents an inter-district transfer must obtained from their district of residence.

It is believed that the District of Choice program will be extended through legislative action prior to June 30, 2017. We will keep parents updated with lawmakers final decisions.

  • Parents must submit a DOC online application for the 2017-2018 school year between November 1, 2016 and January 13, 2017
  •  DOC applications are available online only through our Transfer Online System.
