Riverside Unified School District was successful at obtaining authorization from the District’s voters in the November 2016 election to issue up to $392 million via Measure O to improve and build new capital facilities As a part of the Measure, RUSD established an independent Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC) to satisfy the accountability requirements of Prop 39.
Duties of the members include:
- Informing the public concerning the District’s expenditure of bond proceeds
- Reviewing expenditure reports produced by the District to ensure that bond proceeds were expended only for the purposes set forth in Measure O
- Presenting an annual report to the RUSD Board
