RUSD schools will receive AMS funding in addition to regular staffing and materials allocations for Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) funding. This combined allocation empowers schools to develop implementation plans tailored to their unique needs and community context.
AMS maximizes flexibility in spending for schools. Planning is currently focused on the inclusion of new arts classes and experiences, for example, some of our middle schools are planning to offer new dance classes.
Each school has developed implementation plans, utilizing their AMS funding alongside existing VAPA funding, to support and grow arts education in alignment with their own plan while expanding the RUSD Arts Plan. If you have suggestions or any questions, please reach out to your school administrator.
