Dual Language Immersion Enrollment Now Open for 2026-27

There is still time to apply for Riverside Unified's Dual Language Immersion (DLI) program for the 2026-27 school year. Applications are due by 4 p.m. on Friday, August 7. 

Riverside Unified is especially encouraging families of incoming Spanish-speaking kindergarten students to apply, as the district continues to build balanced bilingual classrooms. Families can learn more about the program and begin the application process by visiting the RUSD DLI webpage.

Riverside Unified offers DLI at six elementary schools: George Washington Elementary School, Castle View Elementary School, Mountain View Elementary School, Thomas Jefferson Elementary School, Henry W. Longfellow Elementary School, and Fremont Elementary School. 

Students may enter the program in kindergarten or, as space allows, in grades 1-9. Applications for students entering grades 1-9 are accepted based on space availability.

RUSD's DLI program provides an enriching educational experience for both English-speaking and Spanish-speaking students. Through instruction in English and Spanish, students develop bilingualism, biliteracy, and cross-cultural understanding. These lifelong skills help prepare students for future college, career, and leadership opportunities in an increasingly interconnected world.
