Riverside Unified Students Secure 21 Awards at Riverside County Art Connects/MUSIC Contest
Riverside Unified elementary and middle school students across seven schools walked away with 21 awards at the Riverside County Office of Education’s Art Connects/MUSIC contest this spring.
Performances from Central Middle School, Madison Elementary School, Matthew Gage Middle School, Jackson Elementary School, Thomas Jefferson Elementary School, Lake Mathews Elementary School, and George Washington Elementary students were all honored during the event.
RUSD won a total of 10 first, second, and third-place awards after grade levels:
1st - 2nd Grades
- 1st, Jefferson and Madison Elementary Second Grade Music Classes, Jefferson and Madison Elementary, Riverside Unified School District
- 3rd, Blue Bird, Jackson Elementary School, Riverside Unified School District, Honorable Mention, Jackson Music, Jackson Elementary School, Riverside Unified School District
3rd - 4th Grades
- 1st, The Tran’s Siblings, "Lake Mathews RUSD, Arizona Middle School (Alvord USD), Hillcrest HS (Alvord USD)", Riverside Unified School District
