Riverside Unified Transitional Kindergarten Teacher Nominated for LifeChanger of the Year Award

Monroe Elementary School transitional kindergarten teacher Briana Norton has been nominated for a 2026-27 LifeChanger of the Year Award. 

Sponsored by National Life Group, the annual LifeChanger of the Year program recognizes K-12 educators and school employees nationwide who have made a significant difference in students’ lives by exemplifying excellence, positive influence, and leadership.  

Norton was anonymously nominated for the award for the positive and lasting impact she makes on her students each day through her caring, structured and encouraging classroom environment. She is known for helping young learners build confidence, develop important social skills, and take pride in their growth.

Each LifeChanger nominee is considered for selection as a LifeChanger of the Year winner, with the opportunity to earn cash prizes for themselves and their schools or districts. Winners are surprised with on-site recognition at their schools during the spring of each school year.

Since 2011, more than 7,800 school employees from over 2,100 districts have been recognized through the LifeChanger of the Year program, with more than $720,000 awarded to educators and schools.
