Riverside Unified Elementary School's Leadership Day Covered by FOX 11

Students at Liberty Elementary School took center stage during their third annual Leadership Day, a fully student-led event that highlighted leadership development, academic growth, and student voice – and drew the attention of FOX 11 Los Angeles, which visited campus to capture the experience, on April 14.

Designed and coordinated entirely by students, Leadership Day showcased Liberty scholars’ ability to take ownership of their learning and confidently share their progress with peers, families, and the broader community. From organizing the event agenda to leading presentations and campus tours, students demonstrated the leadership, communication, and goal-setting skills they are building every day.

This year’s theme, “Journey to Success,” came to life through a series of engaging, student-driven activities, including a speaker panel, classroom showcases, campus tours, and musical performances. Students also shared their leadership binders, highlighting personal goals, milestones, and reflections on their growth throughout the school year.
