Strategic Plan Process

Riverside Unified School District is developing a comprehensive five-year Strategic Plan to guide our collective efforts and shape the future of our district. A strategic plan is more than a document; it is a guiding framework that articulates our shared vision and provides a clear, actionable roadmap to achieve it.
This work builds directly on the Superintendent’s 100 Days Plan, which prioritized listening, learning, and understanding the perspectives of our students, staff, families, and community. What we heard throughout those first months made one thing clear: our district benefits from strong alignment, shared priorities, and a cohesive long-term vision.
This Strategic Plan reflects our continued commitment to clarity, alignment, and measurable progress in service of every student we serve. By aligning our priorities, resources, and actions, we ensure that decisions are grounded in student success and community well-being.
Throughout this process, Riverside Unified will work collaboratively with key stakeholders – including our school communities, teachers, staff, community partners, district leadership, and the Board of Education – to gather input and co-create a plan that reflects our collective aspirations.
The Strategic Plan will serve as a foundation for learning by setting clear goals and strategies that empower educators and students alike. It will help unlock the promise and potential of our youth by focusing on equity, opportunity, and innovation. And by fostering partnerships and shared accountability, it will strengthen the bonds that make our communities and Riverside resilient and vibrant.
At the end of this process, Riverside Unified will have an actionable plan that not only charts our course forward but also inspires confidence in our ability to deliver on our mission.
