Julie has always liked to make things with her hands utilizing art and design. She attended Cal State Long Beach where she started out in Industrial Design courses, then ended up finishing with an Industrial Arts degree. After college, Julie had a career working for various print and advertising companies doing production. Switching gears later on, she earned a teaching credential and a Masters in online teaching. She taught language arts for 11 years until the opportunity arose to get back to making things while teaching Woodshop. Every day in the shop provides new learning experiences, and she is so grateful to have the opportunity to share them with her students.
