Research, Assessment, and Evaluation

The Department of Research, Assessment & Evaluation is responsible for the administration and reporting of federal, state, and district assessment programs (i.e., CAASPP, ELPAC, NAEP, PFT, etc.).

In support of the district, our department also:

  • Coordinates the publication of the School Accountability Report Cards (SARC)
  • Prepares various school and district reports on student achievement
  • Collaborates with other departments and school sites in data analysis protocols
  • Conducts internal research projects that inform district and school-wide action planning
  • Reviews and either approves or denies outside research requests
  • Oversee the district's Language Assessment Center who administers all Initial ELPAC testing for the district
  • Provides data to the Office of Civil Rights (OCR)
  • Provides an understanding of how to utilize the California Dashboard
  • Oversees the administration and reporting of staff, student, and parent engagement surveys (i.e., CA Healthy Kids Survey, CA School Staff Survey, etc.)
  • Identifies students who are eligible to receive state and federal awards (State Seal of Biliteracy, Golden State Merit Diploma, Presidential Award)
