RUSD is made up of outstanding educators who make a true difference in students’ lives. Nowhere is this more evident than in Arlington High School science teacher Sheri Harris, who will be given the Environmental Educator Excellence Award in October by the Rivers and Lands Conservancy.
Sheri was chosen for her exceptional work in leading Arlington’s championship Envirothon Team. The Envirothon is the largest high school environmental education competition in North America. As the
head coach for the team, and in the classroom, Sheri is inspiring her students not to just pursue STEM fields, but to become stewards of the land as well. Congratulations Sheri! Keep lighting up those young minds to the wonders of Earth Science!
