Symptomatic

Positive students should remain in isolation until they have not had a fever for 24 hours without using fever reducing medication AND other COVID-19 symptoms are mild and improving.

Students should consider isolating for additional days in order to reduce risk of exposures, in line with the potential infectious period.

Students should wear a well-fitting mask when sharing indoor airspace for a total of 10 days when around others.

Asymptomatic

Isolation is not required for asymptomatic COVID-19 positive cases; however, testing positive is a marker of contagiousness and student should consider isolation in order to reduce risk of exposures, in line with the potential infectious period.

Students should wear a well-fitting mask when sharing indoor airspace for a total of 10 days when around others.

If your student(s) test positive for COVID or has COVID like symptoms:

Positive students should remain in isolation until they have not had a fever for 24 hours without using fever reducing medication AND other COVID-19 symptoms are mild and improving.

If your child tests POSITIVE for COVID, contact the school site for more information and requirements to return to school. The COVID Tracking Nurse will provide specific guidelines that could include but not limited to the following:

  • Requirements for returning to school
  • Potential date to return to school
  • Recommendations regarding wearing a well-fitting mask when sharing indoor airspace for a total of 10 days when around others
