The Department of Research, Assessment & Evaluation is responsible for the administration and reporting of federal, state,
and district assessment programs (i.e., CAASPP, ELPAC, NAEP, PFT, etc.).
In support of the district, our department also:
- Coordinates the publication of the School Accountability Report Cards (SARC)
- Prepares various school and district reports on student achievement
- Collaborates with other departments and school sites in data analysis protocols
- Conducts internal research projects that inform district and school-wide action planning
- Reviews and either approves or denies outside research requests
- Oversee the district's Language Assessment Center who administers all Initial ELPAC testing for the district
- Provides data to the Office of Civil Rights (OCR)
- Provides an understanding of how to utilize the California Dashboard
- Oversees the administration and reporting of staff, student, and parent engagement surveys (i.e., CA Healthy Kids Survey, CA School Staff Survey, etc.)
- Identifies students who are eligible to receive state and federal awards (State Seal of Biliteracy, Golden State Merit Diploma, Presidential Award)
