A new resource being offered in RUSD is our Student Assistance Program (SAP), designed to assist with student well-being and getting help to those who need it. The program is meant to help students dealing with trauma, grief and depression, as well as to avoid more serious behavioral and attendance issues down the line.
Our School Board traveled to San Francisco and brought our SAP leaders with them. They presented to other school boards across the state on the many benefits of such socio-emotional support for students, taking questions on how these other districts can set up similar programs.
