The RUSD Health Center offers immunizations and physical exams at no cost for students who do not have health insurance or who have Medi-Cal. The Health Center address is 5700 Arlington Avenue Riverside, CA 92504. Please call the Health Services Department at (951) 274-4213 ext. 83026 for days and times.

CPR and First Aid certification classes are available for RUSD employees who require certification for their position including health assistants, instructional aides or teachers performing specialized health care procedures, and preschool employees. You may register for a class by calling Health Services (951) 274-4213 ext. 83026 or ext. 83027.

Riverside Unified School District has a Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Policy. Employees who are at increased risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens including health office staff, certificated and classified employees in severely handicapped and special day classes, district nurses, designated providers of specialized physical health care procedures, campus supervisors, athletic trainers and coaches must receive an in-service upon hire. Annual updates are available through the Health Services Department by calling (951) 274-4213 ext. 83026. If you elect to receive the Hepatitis B immunization series, it may be obtained from your health care provider or any other medical insurance under which you are able to obtain the vaccine. If you do not have district or other medical insurance; contact the Safety Technician (951) 788-7135 ext. 80605. In the event of an exposure incident, contact Workers’ Compensation (951) 788-7135 ext. 80610.
